Job Description
As the AI Engineering Manager at lumaq.ai, you will architect and lead the engineering of our AI-Native Software Factory platform. Your primary mission is not merely training standalone models, but mastering multi-agent orchestration, specification-to-code execution workflows, and secure agent control planes. You will ensure that AI agents systematically turn requirements into production-ready software while maintaining strict human-in-the-loop approval gates, complete traceability, and backward compliance audit trails.
This role demands a combination of systems engineering, multi-agent framework expertise, engineering leadership, and a enterprise-grade security mindset.
Responsibilities
Agent Orchestration & Control Plane Architecture: Design and manage the core orchestration engine of lumaq.ai, ensuring diverse AI agents collaborate seamlessly across specification creation, architecture design, task execution, and automated testing.
Deterministic Guardrails & Human-in-the-Loop: Build strict policy-enforcement layers where no agent code can bypass human approval gates or merge directly without verification.
Enterprise Software Factory Delivery: Architect end-to-end modernization and greenfield software workflows, connecting requirements back to exact commit lines for full traceability.
Engineering Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, scale, and mentor a high-performing engineering team specializing in agentic systems, compiler/AST parsers, async backend architectures, and developer tooling.
On-Premises & Air-Gapped Operations: Ensure platform deployment stability across customer-controlled infrastructure, private cloud environments, and isolated enterprise networks.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of overall experience in Software Engineering, Backend Systems, or Cloud Architecture, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
- Agent Orchestration Expertise: Deep hands-on experience or architectural understanding of Multi-Agent Frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen) and LLM agent tool-use/function-calling protocols.
- Core Engineering Strength: Exceptional Python capabilities, strong mastery of asynchronous processing (AsyncIO, event-driven architecture), microservices, and design patterns.
- Enterprise Security & Compliance: Solid understanding of enterprise governance frameworks (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, GDPR) and sandboxed execution environments.
- Ecosystem Capabilities: Deep familiarity with modern developer ecosystems (Git internals, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes) and legacy codebase modernization workflows.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Benefits & Perks
- Pioneering AI-Native Factory: Lead the core technology powering the next era of enterprise software development.
- High-Impact Regulated Verticals: Directly transform software delivery for tier-1 enterprises in banking, insurance, telecommunications, and public sector.
- Flexibility & Autonomy: Hybrid work model within a highly collaborative, tech-first, and flat organizational structure.
- Enterprise Growth: Continuous technical impact in a fast-growing platform setting the standard for governed agentic SDLC.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Private health insurance and monthly meal card allowance.
